Applied Science BTEC
Pearson Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in Applied Science
What is the subject and why should you study it?
BTECs embody a fundamentally learner-centred approach to the curriculum, with a flexible, unit-based structure and knowledge applied in project-based assessments. They focus on the holistic development of the practical, interpersonal and thinking skills required to be able to succeed in employment and higher education. Students who are intending to step into employment either after 18 or via higher education would benefit from the learning model used in BTEC qualifications. Our applied science course enables students to experience the vast range of employment possibilities within the science sector.
