Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (AQA)
Overview
The Extended Project Qualification is the equivalent of half an A level. It is a research and process based qualification with a focus on developing independent study skills in preparation for university, an apprenticeship or employment. Students choose their own project title based on their interests and progression aims. They can choose to create a product and 1000-word report or a 5000-word written report as their final assessment piece and will also be required to deliver a 20-minute presentation and complete a production log. The qualification includes 30 taught hours delivered in the classroom as well as 90 hours independent study. Homework is an essential element of the course.
